I have a stock Acer Aspire T TC-780-UR11 and i want to upgrade the memory.  I already know for sure that i need to use DDR4 2400MHz (PC4-19200).  But do i need to use SODIMM? or......UDIMM sticks?  And is it 288-pin or 260-pin?

thanks for any help!

This model Support DDR4 1.2V 2133 unbuffered DIMMs (4GB, 8GB or 16GB) dual channel up to 32GB total memory
The DIMM type is 288-pin DDR4 1.2V UDIMM

Here's the  description of some supported memory modules.

Sorry.  I don't understand this answer at all.  My pc currently has 2400 speed ram in it.  So, why would i downgrade to 2133?

I guess my question then would be:  "recommended by whom?"  Acer?  Intel?  Microsoft?  I'm not trying to be difficult here, but newegg, amazon, microcenter, and several others sell my model pc and they all come stock with DDR4 2400MHz (PC4-19200).  So, i am still confused.  Does anyone else have any input here.

    thanks,

If I were buying......I would use CPU-Z to figure out what CL it has.  Then just go to crucial or Kingston website and use system scanner or memory finder.

You have the new Kaby Lake version of the TC-780 which uses DDR4 2400

The old sky lake version of the TC-780 uses DDR4 2133.
    I'm not an Acer employee.

For information, this model is shipped with one memory module of 8GB - DDR4 - 2133 or 2400MHz.
