    Specs list PentiumN4200, CeleronN3450 & CeleronN3350 as compatible. Jack E/NJ

n4200 is a 6 watt quad core.  Dual core I7s use 15 watts, run hot & would stress the mainboard without offering quad core performance. 28 watt quad core i7 would likely burn out the mainboard. Jack E/NJ

Besides the N series Intel chips are SOC (system on a chip) and do a lot more than an i7 . My hot-rodded R3-131T with a quad-core N3700 runs with an i7 desktop.

Your mainboard is designed to run best with the N4200. Jack E/NJ

It's probably worth noting that the CPU is soldered to the motherboard and uses a different pin out than i7s use. It's really not possible to mix and match. The other two CPUs offered in other CB515 models are a bit slower than your N4200, so you're as good as you can go in this model line.

However the biggest element is that the N series Intel chips include graphics (with HDMI), and serial IO (USB) this is why they are called "Systems on a Chip" (SOC). While some i7s include graphics most are designed more for motherboards that handle peripherals and are usually found in desktops with a lot of cooling capability since the power consumption is quite high whereas the N series is designed for low power, long battery life, and ventless cases (no fans extend battery life).

While with enough time and money almost anything is possible but it is not so much the i7 as all of the support peripherals it would need. Much easier to start with something designed for it.
