re BIOS & driver updates after fresh Win10 install to SSD
Most device drivers self-explanatory*
Acer BIOS/Firmware downloads** are confusing: Intel "microcodes", ME Firmware, SMBIOS..table, fixes BIOS setup utility

Anyone clarify which of these are recommended/essential, and why?
Any related to Meltdown/Spectre issues (ME firmware)?

* Except Qualcomm Atheros (Wi-Fi LAN) matching no driver downloads (but one update has no mfg listed!?)
** Available BIOS/Firmware downloads:
Intel microcode revision..
Intel microcode..
ME firmware version and supports new SPI ROM..
SMBIOS 32/64-bit table..
Fixes BIOS Setup Utility

If it were my R5, the only thing I would try is the wifi driver. My reasoning? It's least likely to brick my functioning R5. Jack E/NJ

This morning I received an error messages from my Windows Network Diagnostics troubleshooting and it read as follows:
THE QUALCOMM ATHEROS QCA61x4A WIRELESS NETWORK ADAPTER /adapter is experiencing driver - or hardware-related problems!
    How to fix?  ASAP????
