Track Pad not working after latest Windows 10 Update

I have an Aspire V3-575T and it automatically upgraded to Windows 10 Version 1709, Build 16299.309 about a week ago.  Since then the Track Pad does not work. I have tried installing the track pad drivers from the ACER support site and restarted the laptop several times with no effect.  Upon login a graphic briefly appears at the top of the screen that appears to be the track pad with a finger pointing at it and a red "X" next to it.
