Change to a SSD or add RAM ?

Hello I am using Aspire AXC 780, i5 7400, it comes with 1 TB HDD and 8 GB ram, I am thinking to upgrade it myself with SSD or RAM, the family desktop is mainly for internet (1000 mb plan)and games like The Sims, I don't find the spec is speedy as I wish, it takes 1 second to load everything, like a photo, a control panel, a youtube video, so my purpose for an upgrade is speed up loading of websites and games. I have another 2 TB HDD external which I may use internally if possible.

1. Are there any place on motherboard for an extra SSD ? The repair center told me YES but apparently it is fully plugged with DVD and HDD already.
2. If I change the HDD instead of DVD and SSD at sata 2, are there any impact on HDD in terms of speed?
3. Concerning above, there are space for adding RAM. but the speed up is it obvious if I upgrade to 16/32 gb ram compare to SSD?

Hi,
You could install a M.2 SATA SSD and move the OS to it, use the HDD for additional storage, recommended M.2 SSD capacity is 512GB but higher capacities might work, installing SSD will give you noticeable improvement in performance than the memory upgrade, if you are going to leave plenty of memory unused (like me

, it will be a waste, so it's up to you to decide on memory upgrade.

There are two screws holding the HDD chassis to the case, both in the front. Make sure you find and disconnect all the cables before trying to lift it out.

So I found a place under the metal I am not sure if this is the one otherwise sounds great I am going to look for something at a reasonable price !

It doesn't look right, what's the metal covering the slot, anyway, I have attached another top side view of the position of the SSD.

The metal on top is the hdd , I am not sure how to remove the DVD + HDD mount but there is a gap I can slip the piece inside, if this is the right slot

Yes, if you have enough gap to screw down the SSD, it should be fine.
