Since I have to go inside my acer to add an hdd cable anyways, I thought I would save up for a bigger badder primary hdd. I read somewhere that NVMe PCIe SSD can be three times faster than m2 sata ssd. which is what is inside my acer now HFS256G39TND-N210A ssd by HYNIX 
 current Geekbench 4 multiscore 9157

Yes, NVMe SSD is faster but you can not see the difference between a M.2 SATA and NVMe SSD in normal usage, if you transfer large files very often, NVMe SSD will be faster than a SATA SSD. Yes, you can upgrade your M.2 SATA SSD to a NVMe SSD,

Thanks  I will record the speed differences when I get the new parts. I was worried it wouldnt fit or work.
