Type of RAM

I use an Acer Aspire 4736z. I plan to upgrade my RAM so I downloaded the quick user guide pdf file and upon reading it I found out that it uses/requires a DDR3 type of RAM. However on my CPUZ program, it says that the RAM installed is a DDR2, which confuses me. I am an average user but I know that if my SDRAM channel is for a DDR3 type, a DDR2 RAM wouldn't fit in it. How would I be able to know what type should I buy if the Acer says a different info than the one I have in mine? Please help.
Will attach a print screen for reference.
