Hi guys,
I've got an Acer Extensa 5230 with 2GB (2x1GB PC2 ram modules) and I want to upgrade it to 4GB (2x2GB ram modules).
Unfortunateley after the upgrade no image appear on the display.
May the original BIOS can't support the 4GB Ram?
If yes, which version of BIOS i need?
Many Thanks in Advance to All

You should have no issues upgrading to 4GB RAM. What is your current BIOS version? The version you should update to is 1.36.
Always post the following characterisitcs of the device:
    -Model number
    -Part number(not required, but helpful)
    -CPU
    -GPU
    -Operating system

Helios 300 and Nitro 5 users DO NOT update the BIOS to version 1.22 if you don't want the keyboard's backlight to turn off after 30 seconds even when the device is plugged in.

Thanks to all for your interesting,
but the issue was caused by one of the 2 ram module, that doesn't work fine.
