Ive scoured everywhere to find a step by step guide on how to install ram into my Acer Nitro 5. its supposed to come with 2 slots one of which is occupied by an 8gb stick already. I found a guide to install a ssd/hdd but not for ram. Anyone got any tips?

Also, can someone tell me what exactly i should look for when purchasing RAM for this laptop? how do i ensure it is compatible with this system? What specifications do I need to ensure match?

    Hi,
Install CPU-z and find out the specs of your current RAM and match the speed and CL value when you buy the new module.
Remove the single screw on the RAM door, insert a plastic tool or use finger in to the grove in the corner and take off the cover, insert the module at an angle(roughly 45 degrees), gently push down the module until it clicks in to the retainer clips, close the door and put the screw back.

Hi there. Thanks for your help. I was just wondering, in the screenshot your posted, which value is speed and CL? I don't see them listed under that name in screenshot or in my CPU Z.

    Hi,
In CPU-z, find your memory module Part number and google for it's specification, it will be shown as CL=15, CL=17 etc.
