I have installed the Windows 10 Creator update and the Synaptics touchpad will not scroll correctly.  I have found some instructions on this site that refer to uninstalling and reinstalling the Serial IO Driver to correct the problem, but there does not appear to be a serial io driver on this unit.  I have also tried uninstalling the Creator Update and that solves the problem.  Once I reinstall the update the same problem returns.  Is there a solution to this issue?  Please help.  Thank you

    >>>uninstalling the Creator Update and that solves the problem.>>>

You have found what appears to be the best solution so far. Microsoft's new heavy-handed rapid-fire life-cycle policies on major updates are a major headache for relatively new machines from many mfrs.

If you haven't done so already, you could try uninstalling the touchpad driver under Creator's Device Mgr, reboot and let Creator's re-detect and re-install the driver. But even if you get Creators to work properly, there's no assurances that the next major Win10 update won't mess it up again later this year. Then, to add insult to injury, Creator's won't be supported with maintenance updates after next April.

I have been having the same issue, and I kept uninstalling and installing the creator update. Because windows wouldn't let me go more than 35 days without an update. Anyway, from this website I downloaded all the drivers and re installed them. Problem fixed immediately. So I suggest to do that, download and install the drivers again.

@GabbyVi   Congrats. Sounds like you're good to go --- at least till the next major update gets installed later this year. :o Jack E/NJ

Thank you for this information.  I have reinstalled windows but not the bios.  How did you update the BIOS?  Did you use the files on the ACER website product page or through the BIOS itself?

I just updated the BIOS to latest version. Windows 10 is up to 21H2, but I cannot get the mouse to operate correctly still. all drivers installed as well. Any ideas?

Try DriverBooster freeware to see if it'll pick up anything better online.
