Hello,
Since the last update of Windows 10, my mouse driver is not recognize anymore. I was used with that on every big windows 10 update, and I installed the intel drivers that you could find on the ACER driver update. But this time the mouse driver didn't want to work.
I tried everything, so I decided to go back to windows 8. But when I have to enter the windows serial number, windows said to me that this serial number is not the good one.

My serial number product is: XXXXX

If you could find a solution for the mouse driver, it will be perfect. If not, could you tell me how to find or give me the right windows serial number.

Thanks a lot

Greg

Did you try the Fn+F7 key combination?
Are you able to install the Acer quick Access application from Acer support page?

    > With your touchscreen or mouse, open Settings and go to Devices > Mouse & touchpad. Scroll down to the bottom of the screen and click Additional mouse options.  Click the tab furthest to the right (it may be called ELAN or Device Settings). Under Devices check to see that your touchpad is not disabled. If it is disabled, click the touchpad to select it and then click Enable.

    > Open Device Manager, go to Mice and other pointing devices, Under Mice and other pointing devices, select your touchpad, open it, select the Driver tab, and select Update Driver.
Your laptop will check the internet for updated driver software and, hopefully, update accordingly.

    > If the touchpad is still not working, go to Mice and other pointing devices and uninstall the driver and restart your computer.

    > The serial number will not be recognized when you insert it in incorrect region. For recovery media you may directly contact Acer support in your region and they will help you.

I suspect that Windows wants your Windows 8 license key and not the device s/n. It should be stored in the BIOS and is different from the Windows 10 key.

hi Mohamedeletrebi , if you want to downgrade make sure you use the same copy of windows that was installed in your PC, if you have a copy of windows 8 run a fresh installation
