Acer E15 weird shadow/burn in on screen?

Hello
It's not a major issue, but my laptop's screen has a very faint "shadow" or burn-in near the upper left corner of the screen.

At first, it looked like a vertical line, but on brighter screens (such as this forum), I realize it's actually a perfect rectangular shape. The shadows only form the outline of the rectangle and don't fill the inside.

It's not that big but it's noticeable especially with max brightness. It's about the size of the touch pad -- the rectangle's lines look parallel to the LED screen, which is why I suspect it's some kind of component behind the LCD screen that's causing the burn-in.. I don't know..

Any ideas?

Btw the exact model number is E5-575G-52DA. The screen's 1080p with exacolor -- if it helps.

Hi,
Then, it could be a hardware fault, if you are within the warranty period get help from Acer support centre in your region, if not, replace the screen by yourself or get it fixed by a professional in a local Repair shop.

Here's what it looks like, it's really faint in the photo and more noticeable in real life. Anyway, what you can see next to the Acer Community logo is actually the left side of the rectangle. The rest of the sides aren't visible, but they're there..

Hi,
Does the shadow appears when you close other opened windows? Try closing these 4 windows and check.

Yes, it's visible as soon as anything bright shows on the screen. It also appears on the "Shutting Down" or "Please Wait" screens, so I don't think it's related to any app..

That's what I feared

Unfortunately, last I checked, repairs take up to 30 days through warranty (at least in my country). It's just not that big a deal for me to wait that long, so I guess I'll just have to live with it. Thanks!
