Predator G3-710 - Slow Boot

Hi,

My computer takes a lot longer than I'd expect to boot up and I'm wondering if there's anything I can do about it.

My OS is on a solid state drive and takes about a minute to get from pressing the power button to the windows 10 login screen. My laptop takes about 8 seconds. I know that not all SSD's are made the same, but this is a much faster computer than my laptop and while the SSD in the laptop is good, I don't think it's 60x times better

The bootup stays on the screen that shows the text to enter bios setup / startup menu for about 45 seconds, then it goes away and the computer beeps, then the windows loading circle comes up for a few seconds and the login screen appears.

I'm wondering if initial screen where I can enter BIOS is set to show for a certain period of time or something.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I've encountered different computers with bios setting that could set to disable fast boot up. So It could be the BIOS setting. There should be a setting in BIOS that say enable/disable fast bootup.
Do you know how to get into BIOS?
Once you find that out, check the bios setting and look for something that relates to boot up

SOBE, i try to get into bios and i can not. can you help me? if i press DEL or F2 scren stuck, black...i have a predator g6. thank yoy

i tried to recover my system, at some point pc get stuck. i turned off from button and when i start again, it comes at the screen PREPARING and after 10 sec system restart. i have a windows on usb, but i can not go at bios settings...

Have you tried pressing F12?

yes. F2, F8, F11, F12, DEL...... it just stuck..

all i need it is to go into BIOS SETUP, to select 1st boot USB.... i think it will help. but how? if it get stuck all the time....

In this case when trying to get into bios and it gets stuck, I would say troubleshoot your RAM stick and DVD drive if you have one.

If you have two RAM sticks, try removing one and booting the computer. If that doesn't work, try below

For DVD drive, perhaps unplug that from the motherboard for now. and boot the computer

sorry didn't see these replies! Thought I'd get an email.

I looked for "fast boot" but didn't have that in my BIOS, but I did have something that stopped the bootup process on errors. I disabled that and now bootup is much faster. However, I'm worried about what errors my computer is getting!

I don't think you should worry about it being called errors. The system is basically looking for basic input and output/ starting program and hardware program to be working properly.

Sometimes, if turning on network to boot, it'll look for dhcp and waits a long time, which would be wised to turn it off.

If you like, turn on that "something" that stopped the error and let us know what is that "something" we can provide further explanation.
