Bluetooth not working with Skype for A3-A30 (Acer Tab 10)

My Bluetooth works for media such as music and atreaming music but it does not work when I try to connect with Skype and use it for voice calls. Whenever I connect with Skype on a call, when it connects, it reverts to the on-board microphone and speakers through the tablet. Is this a compatibility issue or is this an A3-A30 tablet issue? I have been reading on some forums that certain tablets are not able to support Bluetooth audio calls. If that is the case, how can I figure out if this tablet is not compatible? I don't want to keep trying to buy new Bluetooth headsets if it is not the Bluetooth and it is a compatibility issue for the tablet. My current headset works perfectly with my phone. Any help that anyone would be able to provide would be most helpful. Thanks in advance.

This is a common concern. The process of connecting your phone to your wireless headset via Bluetooth to use Skype is relatively easy, but headsets not certified by Skype might not work. You may check on this link “Bluetooth device with Skype” for more information regarding on your concern.

Thank you for your reply.  I have visited those sites previously. They refer to Skype on a computer but I am talking about using Skype on the tablet(Acer Tab 10) as an app. On the app there is not a setting in the options menu that allows you to change where the audio comes from.

Also, the issue is not about the compatibility of the headset because this is with regard to the actual tablet being able to use the capability of the Bluetooth headset.

There was another Forum that I read specifically for the Ellipse 8 HD that a person with a similar issue was trying to find a solution. The representative did research and found that the Ellipsis 8 HD does not support the capability of being able to use a Bluetooth headset for voice in Skype as well as the playback to go into the headset for Skype. I would like to verify if this is the same for the Acer tablet.

Here is the thread that I am referencing: https://community.verizonwireless.com/thread/930512

Nowhere in the manual does it say that the Bluetooth will not be compatible with using it with voice or as we have spoken about, with Skype. The links on the compatibility of Skype talk specifically about the computer but not about tablets. So they have not been helpful. Ultimately, my goal is to determine whether or not the tablet is the issue so that I can find another Acer tablet that does work. I have tried to contact Acer technical support but because my warranty has expired I can't even ask the general question of whether or not this particular tablet model has the compatibility of using calls through a Bluetooth.

A colleague of mine has an iPad and they are able to use the same Bluetooth headset that I have with Skype. So, I am ruling out the fact that it is my headset because they use their iPad and are able to talk with my headset using the Skype app on there iPad.
