Cloudbook 11 malfunctioning?

Hi. I've had my Cloudbook 11 for just a year now, and a few days ago it started to shut down and refuse to turn on every time I closed it. It could be plugged in and charging or not plugged in, and every time I close it, it turns off and cannot turn back on or even charge. BUT my external hard drive still blinks it's light. The only way I can use my laptop again after having to close it is if I click the pinhole on the back of it to reset it. My Windows 10 is up-to-date, so there shouldn't be any issue there. Can somebody please give me a crystal clear answer as to what may be causing this and what I can do to fix it?

Heh-heh. That's a good joke. :) First let's check to make sure a Win10 update hasn't changed your lid settings to something you don't want --- like shutting the machine off when closed. So open Control Panel. Search "power". Click on "change what closing the lid does". See if it's changed from sleep to shut down. Jack E/NJ
