Hey Acer Community, I recently bought my Predator G3 desktop about a month ago and it was working fine, now when i try to turn it on, the power button lights up and turns off continuously with a slight delay each time, making a ‘click’ sound near where the power button is. From what i can see, the fan inside twitches everytime the click sound appears. Any idea what may be wrong?

The fan should work to start the PC m8. Don't touch the insides without proper guidance. Some retailers also stick a warranty sticker on the rear end of the tower so make sure you don't break it. Perhaps it is time to also give it back to your manufacturer and get a replacement tower?

If this is not with the hardware unit (fan) you can try doing a power drain and see if your computer starts.

I see, thanks for the advice! Any advice on how to do a power drain? No idea what that is, but might be able to put some pieces together and get it done.

To do a power drain, unplug your CPU from electricity and press and hold the power button for 30 seconds or so, then turn on the electricity and boot the computer.

Just out of the box I'd go for a replacement unit. It's likely either a bad supply or bad button (stuck maybe?) but could be the motherboard. Best to just get it replaced so you don't have to deal with warranty return hassles.
