Acer Aspire 7 a717-71g Function Keys

HalideumHalideum Member Posts: 4 New User
Hello! I just recieved and booted up an Acer Aspire a717-71g laptop. I would like to know how i can invert the function keys (not having to hold FN key for using the blue keys) on this computer? There is no option to change it in the bios. Is there some special hotkey to do it?

I have the same question.  I have no option in BIOS to change Function keys.

As far as i know you can't do that.
The reason being you control volume and brightness with arrow keys and assuming if you were actually able to invert it, arrow keys won't be able to perform their normal functions.
In which case you ll have to press [Fn] key every time to do that which is very inconvenient.

Anyway, if you find a solution do post it here.
    Hope that helped you.

I just got one of these and it's super annoying. It's a "gaming computer". Do you know how many games have F keys as hotkeys? All of them. I've tried clicking F1 to do something several times and missed pressing the Fn key and immediately go into sleep mode. It's really annoying so if any of you found a solution I'd love to know.

In the bios there is an option called FUNCTION KEY BEHAVIOR?
