i have already mentioned this issue a couple of times on different platforms but never got a working solution.
On calling acer for the second time they have told me to update bios to v1.13.
Should i be really updating my BIOS?I don't think that will work anyway.

If you guys recommend updating BIOS please mention a trusted source for doing that if you know any.

If you guys know any other solution for the same, please mention those here.

Thanks in advance.
Hope that helped you.

    Hi @gr_reaper_20
Please let us know the full model number of your device so that I can check for the available BIOS update.

Please check if you have already performed the below mentioned troubleshooting steps:
1)Press hold the power button for 10 seconds, disconnect the charger. Insert a paperclip into the hole and press for four seconds to reset the computer. it simulates removing and reinstalling the battery. Connect the charger and power On the device to check the issue.

2)Open device manager, expand the entry named Batteries by clicking on the side arrow associated with it. As next, right click on Microsoft ACPI-Compliant Control Method Battery and click on the Uninstall option. click on the tab named Action and then to click on the option Scan for hardware changes. Restart the device and check the issue.

    Thanks for the reply @Sharanji

i have already tried resetting the battery, the problem is very specific it only happens under 30% charge and that too when i am gaming. Laptop starts charging again as soon as i close the game.

    I am using aspire a515-51g-5072
    Hope that helped you.
