A box should pop up when you ***right*** click the internal microphone with no external microphone. Jack E/NJ

    >>>I have try to reset your machine to a factory-fresh Win7 home premium state, but it didn't help me.>>>

If you already tried the ALT+F10 cold boot reset from the hidden ACER Win7 home premium recovery partition, then yes either the microphone, its module or one or more of the 4 wires to the mainboard are broken. First I suggest testing wire continuity between the  4 bumps on the microphone module and the connector to the mainboard. Stick a pin or thin wire in each connector slot for a multimeter probe. If these wires are OK, then you should do a google general search and image search for an "electret microphone module" with the quotes as most have industry standard specs. Your module should have marks to indicate 2 outputs, power, ground. I can't find the specific ACER part number for the 3830TG internal microphone set but if you do a search for "acer microphone set" and "travelmate" with the quotes you may find one that matches your's that are also used in similar ACER laptops. Right click on the Connexant audio driver in Device Mgr. Click properties. What version is listed? Jack E/NJ

If Ultimate was not factory-installed, try rolling back the Connexant driver. Jack E/NJ

    Go to this website. https://www.acer.com/ac/en/US/content/support-product/3634?b=1

    Choose Win7-64.

Download and try installing the original audio driver version number 8.54.1.55. If this older version doesn't work, then trying uninstalling the audio driver from Device Manager --- exit Device Manager --- then do a cold re-boot to let Windows auto re-detect and auto re-install the driver.

Same problem still exists. I tried to install the driver from acer support site, but nothing. After that I uninstalled the driver, but again nothing.

    >>>Microphone doesn't work.>>>

Then it's probably the microphone itself (which you can test by other means) or the PC's microphone jack isn't making proper contact with the microphone plug. The Connexant adapter is probably OK since it's being properly detected in Device Mgr with no errors--- BUT---the only way to be absolutely sure is by re-setting the machine to factory-fresh Win7 state. WAIT, I just noticed the driver version number does not seem correct in your screenshot!!! Please recheck Device Manager for the  8.54.1.55. version number.

I have version 8.54.1.55, but it didn't worked. After that, I uninstalled driver as you told me. Also I have re-install Windows, but it doesn't help me. Just built-in microphone doesn't work. External works normally. Could you tell me how I can test my microphone physically. I measured the voltages on the contacts on the microphone and everything was fine. What do you think, where can be a problem. Thank you very much!

When I disconnect cable witch connects microphone and MB and turn on my laptop I still see microphone in Recording devices. Of course it doesn't work because it is disconnected, but why is it shown in Recording devices?

With no external microphone attached, what happens when you right click on the internal microphone in the recording settings? Jack E/NJ

There are just options Disable...Show disconnected devices....Properties(like this)... There is no difference...everything is same. Device is enabled as usually when external microphone is disconnected.
