How can I replace the keyboard?

I have an Aspire Z24-880, RMN: D17W1, All in One PC and I want to replace the wireless keyboard however the keyboard's usb is so firmly in place I can't extract it. Is it meant to be stuck so firmly? Should I exert more force or would that cause damage rather than extract the usb? I presume what appears to be a usb plugged in the bottom centre of the machine is for the keyboard.

Thanks for the advice, Ran, but I was okay with that. The Aspire Z24-880 came with a wireless keyboard and I'm presuming that it connects to the computer by using what appears to be a USB stuck in at the bottom of the machine. I was hoping to pull that USB out and replace it with one that operates a preferred keyboard however the USB at the bottom of the machine is very firmly fixed in. I'm wondering if that is deliberate and not to be fiddled with which I won't do. I'll try to follow your advise and disable this keyboard through the device manager and use a USB port at the back of the machine for the new one (fingers crossed). I was hoping not to have to use ports unnecessarily as there are other things I need to plug in. Thanks for your advice, I appreciate it greatly.

Well Eddie, assuming that you're talking about the USB slots on the rear end, those slots are for indeed USB and you should be able to remove the plug in from it. Don't apply so much pressure into it and try to wiggle and gently remove. If not, try getting another Keyboard Wireless or Wired and disable this one from your device manager. This might be a work around for the trouble. Trust me, you don't want to break this.

I want to use a Bluetooth Logitech keyboard and mouse MX 5500, the Aspire Z24-880 has built in Bluetooth which connects to both devices. I then removed the USB dongle from the bottom of the Aspire Z24-880 (it is very tight and needed a pair of pliers to get it out.

Only problem is that now on boot up it reports a keyboard error and the Bluetooth keyboard is not installed till later in the boot sequence and you can't get into the Bios to change the settings
