Screen & touchpad concern

Hello!

 So I recently got a predator laptop and I've been noticing certain things like the right click on touchpad not working well. Either it gets slow or just don't work at times. This does not happen with a mouse. 

Then there's the screen... Today I was trying to scan my external hard drive. Sometimes the screen would go black as it tends to do when not in use for a time. I left for a bit and when I came back to check on it, the screen wouldn't display anything even when I was clicking.

The laptop was still on and the hard drive's light kept blinking. Around 5min later of nothing, it suddenly turned off. Took a while to turn it back on again.

I checked for windows updates and it says it's up to date. 

I'm not very good with this kind of thing so I don't know if I'm missing something or just a faulty laptop...

Any help would be appreciated!

Try Resetting Windows, and if you still have problems contact Acer or the seller for a replacement.
