Will Acer patch TPM vulnerability of my R7-572G ?

Hi All,
I've been the happy owner of an Acer R7-572G for 3-4 years now. This laptop embeds a TPM 1.2 chip by Infineon (version 4.31 to be precise), for which a famous security vulnerability has been published at the end of 2017. Acer released patchs for several computers using that TPM chip (on https://us.answers.acer.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/51236 ) but that page does not list the R7. Worst, the help desk answered me that if the R7 was not on that page, it was because it is not impacted, which looks plainly wrong.

Will the R7 get a patch? Is anybody from Acer reading this thead?
Best regards

I too own Acer Aspire R7 572G laptop.

It's sad to see that I spent a fortune for this laptop and there are no vulnerability fix and BIOS patches released for this laptop.
I am getting a constant system event stating -  "The Trusted Platform Module (TPM) firmware on this PC has a known security problem. Please contact your PC manufacturer to find out if an update is available. For more information please go to https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=852572"

I searched the whole Acer community site. Nothing!.

Is anyone in ACER support listening?

I am facing the same problem.

Windows 10 is advising me to get the TPM firmware update carried out by contacting the Vendor - Acer.
This is a vulnerability fix that needs to be carried out.

Acer, please dont forget the Aspire R7 572G series laptops. I spent a fortune buying this. Let's invest some time to release a TPM firmware for this product please?

same here- one of the posts on this subject suggested a fix was being made available 3rd quarter 2018. If anyone becomes aware or can confirm, please advise? (no longer under warranty here but the laptop is my main hardware)
