I have seen advertisements from the Acer Orion Series i7 and i9. Some configurations have only 16 gb of memory ( 2 x 8 ), but the system itself is quad channel What is wrong here, do you not have quad channel if i buy a 16gn system ??

It isn't the RAM that supports dual or quad channel. There is no such a thing as dual channel or quad channel RAM. Dual channel or quad channel is something, which the motherboard does and has to support, the RAM modules installed are normal RAM modules nothing special about them. If all orion 9000s have the same motherboard, then all of them support quad channel. If there is only 16GB(2x8GB) RAM that means the RAM modules will work in dual channel and if you want quad channel, then you can add another 2 of the same type which will result in 32GB(4x8GB) working in quad channel.
Always post the following characterisitcs of the device:
    -Model number
    -Part number(not required, but helpful)
    -CPU
    -GPU
    -Operating system

Helios 300 and Nitro 5 users DO NOT update the BIOS to version 1.22 if you don't want the keyboard's backlight to turn off after 30 seconds even when the device is plugged in.
