Upgradability of the A515-51G-5536
I've looked high and low for the answer to this. I even downloaded the manual. THE MANUAL
Nowhere have I found any information regarding what can be upgraded on this laptop
Honestly, that's not a good start, and the laptop won't even be here until tomorrow
Why are there no technical details about the product readily available here? I want to know simple things like what speed the hdd spins at and more specific stuff like what wifi chip is used and what the form factor is. Maybe I wanted to order an upgrade before I got here
In my ranting, I gave one, but I'll list it again for the sake of clarity. I'd really like to know the following without having to first take the laptop apart:
1 What is the maximum capacity for RAM in this laptop, and what are the speed and timings of the current ram?
2 Is there a bay available for a second 2.5" hdd or ssd? m.2? pcie?
3 what wifi card is used?
I think a lot of this information should be made available to the consumer. I also think Acer may benefit from a sales support channel in addition to their technical support. Pre and post sales questions about a product are common, and when no attempt is made to answer questions preemptively, there should definitely be something else in place to help educate consumers about the products
