I need help on flashing the bios.  I have downloaded the BIOS, but I cannot find instructions on what to do next.  Other Acer products state to:
  1. Rename the BIOS file from 3310.fd to zg5ia32.fd.
  2. Copy zg5ia32.fd and Flashit.exe to USB flash drive
Problem is, my bios not only does not have a 3310.fd file, but it also has no Flashit.exe file.  I've got my USB flash drive ready, but I am at a standstill.

On a side note.... the reason I am doing this is to see if it will fix the following issue (other forums online say it will):
We have repair guys at out house repairing an outdoor CGI outlet that is on the same wall that my PC is plugged into (of course the PC is on the inside part of the wall).  No, I did not have the PC in a surge protector... I know... I know.  The repair guy told me that the power would go out but I didn't get to turn off the PC before that happened.  Long story short, I went to turn on the PC afterwards and all I am getting is the blue light comes on and the fan comes on, but the screen stays black).  Everything I have is on this computer.  PLEASE HELP!

No! You absolutely do NOT want to try to flash the BIOS. You're trying to follow ancient advice that doesn't even apply to your newer UEFI bootstrapper. If you haven't tried to do so already, turn your machine back on then press and hold the power button for 5 or more seconds till it's completely off. Then turn it back on and ***immediately and instantly*** start tapping the DELkey to try to enter the BIOS setup menu. If successful, just press the F10 key to save and exit settings. Then see what happens. Jack E/NJ
