Hi,
I ordered a helios 300 model number G3-572-78JY (i was supposed to be receiving the model number which has just the 256gb ssd storage with an expanadble 2.5" slot on the bottom), but by a mix up on the listing page, i will be receiving the model with 128gb ssd + 1tb hdd). Will this void the manufacturers warranty if i replace the 1tb hdd with a 1tb ssd? It would be as simple as unscrewing the hdd caddy and screwing it on the ssd and plugging in the sata cable correct? I am not seeing why it would void the warranty since the 256gb ssd model has that free accessible slot. The seller has offered me to return the item but i got it at a good price and the time to wait for a return and refund so i could get the correct model would be a huge hassle. But if it voids the warranty i will have to send it back since i already purchased a 1tb samsung 850 evo. Probably a silly question but i just want to be 100%!

Thanks!

Replacing the HDD with SSD won't void the warranty, unless you break something in the process. The warranty won't cover the SSD.
Always post the following characterisitcs of the device:
    -Model number
    -Part number(not required, but helpful)
    -CPU
    -GPU
    -Operating system

Helios 300 and Nitro 5 users DO NOT update the BIOS to version 1.22 if you don't want the keyboard's backlight to turn off after 30 seconds even when the device is plugged in.
