Should I always update to the latest BIOS?

I’ve been seeing posts here that there are problems about their RAM not being detected in the latest BIOS and I wonder if it would post any problem to my Helios 300 if I updated it to the latest.

It seems the reason that they were having an issue is because they replaced the factory RAM with other that they purchased. In all honestly, there is no guarantee that a problem will not occur. The general thinking about updating BIOS is: If you are not experiencing any problems, just leave it alone. However, if you are experiencing issues, it is vital to update BIOS as it can solve issues.

My friend has got the same issue. But he did not replace, he just added more sticks. After the update, the two additional sticks wont let the system boot. Just lights up and nothing on the display. Removing the 2 sticks fixes the issue. But he never had this problem BEFORE the BIOS update.
