Fps downs in games

I have recently purchased (a few months ago) the laptop Acer Predator Helios 300 and had no problems instead of some display graphics error which I've already solved. Some days ago I have experienced an enormous fps drop while playing overwatch. I usually get 60-70 fps with medium graphics (forums say getting 70 fps at ultra is normal, so somethings can be already wrong) at overwatch but after a while of playing it my fps go down to 9,10,15 and after a couple of minutes, they go back to 60-70. I have the latest Nvidia drivers installed via Geforce Experience (390.65 at the moment) and I have no idea about what version of bios I have. I will be glad to provide any type of information to help to solve this issue.

This is copied from another post of mine. I first suggest doing these first before other options: 

- Updating BIOS
- Disable Game bar, Game DVR, and Game Mode
- Updating NVIDIA drivers
- Uninstalling GeForce Experience

There are a couple things that can be done. 

1. Upgrade to the latest BIOS (1.13 released on Dec 28) and video drivers (For: Intel, right-click start button, Device Manager, Display adapters, Intel, right-click update drivers using Windows Update; NVIDIA, go to NVIDIA.com, input your GPU, and download and install the latest drivers 388.71)
2. If you want to keep the 60 FPS cap (VSync, recommended to keep on), you can enable Triple Buffering (NVIDIA Control Panel, Manage 3D settings) that might help prevent FPS drops.
3. Uninstall the following:
 - NVIDIA GeForce Experience
 - Any type of FPS/Screen recording overlay
 - While the game is running, go to Start Menu > Settings > Gaming, and disable Game Mode, Game bar, and Game DVR
 - Uninstall any anti-virus or monitoring programs running in the background (CCleaner, Glary Utilities, etc.)
4. Make sure all Settings in Window power options, NVIDIA Control Panel, and Intel Graphics Control Panel are set for best Performance.
5. Turn down graphics in your game, specifically any type of particle/flash effects.

Other than that, not much you can really do. Let me reinforce that the 1060 is only a mid range GPU, so it is only going to have medium performance. It wont play new games at max settings without lag.
