I recently bought an ACER SPIN B1 118 and wanted to install a new OS. This failed for some reason and now I'm not able to access the bios anymore when pressing F2 during startup. All I see is a black screen and a cursor that does not blink.
Pressing any combination of Alt+F10, F12, Fn+Esc results in a "Security Boot Fail" screen.
Though installation was from USB-stick, this device does not seem to be first in boot order anymore. I feel a little helpless.

You may not be fast enough. Press & hold the power button for about 5 seconds to make sure the machine is completely turned off. Then start tapping the F2 key while the machine is still off. While still continuing to tap the F2 key, press the power button once to turn the machine back on. Keep tapping away at F2 till something good happens. Jack E/NJ
