Hello,
I have an Aspire S3 391 with a start-up problem, basically sometimes it doesn't start at all when I press the switch on button (no fan spinning, no screen, nothing at all), I removed the battery and it finally started (only plugged with dc), but after a few hours it didn't start again, even with the battery unplugged, then I plugged thhe battery back and the psu and it started again, basically it behaves quite randomly and after several tries and experiment, researches online and on the service manual, I narrowed the problem down to 2 possible failures (apart from the battery which is old and needs to be replaced anyway) : 1. the system board 2. the wlan/ssd/dcin board, which connects the external psu to the battery, wlan, ssd and the mainboard.
Now, for this kind of behaviour the service manual refers to an "Advanced Diagnostic Test for the System Board" (S3-391 Service Manual, pg.148 "Intermittent Problems"), but I can't find this test anywhere, does anyone know what the manual is talking about?
Thanks
