Acer R11 Chromebook and I get no Notifications from web pages like Facebook and Gmail even though everything is turned on and I even got the prompts to allow it. What am I missing?

Everything is on. I can get a random one if I turn them off and on again from scratch, but over times it just quits. That's from Facebook, Gmail, Twitter, YouTube, just to name a few. They are turned on in the sidebar toggle pane and in the settings of the browser. They are also turned on the the specific pages in the settings there.

Have you checked with your service provider yet? This might be an issue with inability to verify your email address or account for new post notifications.  I, for example, am still not getting email notifications of my new ACER community posts even though I can manually check and see all of them. Just don't get automatic notifications. The problem is in part due to the way my account is setup by my ISP.    Jack E/NJ

How did you set up the acer notifications?

It's supposed to be done automatically once you register as an ACER community user with your preferred email address. But in my case it's still not working with my main email address. So I have to manually check for new messages all the time like I just did with your new post. The problem has nothing to do with my laptop hardware. Jack E/NJ
