Screen Problem (Flickering)

So its day number 11 since I opened the box to this bad boy and I am so happy with this purchase. But today I woke up went to my desk and flipped open my laptop, and when the screen came too the screen started to flicker and shift like an old tube TV without good enough signal to broadcast the channel you wanted. After some light pressing around the screen and on the surface of the keyboard area I found that top right around the power key if you press moderately the flickering and shifting settles down a lot. So I  press a couple times and restart the Computer and it seems to have stopped for now. I'm assuming the screen may be having connection issues for the display inside but I didn't wanna go thru the trouble of opening it up and finding its not plug and play. Just seeing if anyone has had the same issue and found or opened this bad for up to come to a more solid solution. Thank you for taking the time to read this and giving myself a possible solution

I got the same problem. Bought the unit 5 days ago; after 10 mins of using it(usually playing on it) , the screen and keyboard back light starts to flicker. I checked if the board was grounded (I didn't open the back panel). I assume that the wire responsible for the display and back light is not soldered properly. If you have any idea how to fix this please respond asap. Tia

Just purchased an acer predator helios 300. Fresh out the box it has this problem. The screen breaks up into squares that are badly loaded and in the wrong position. Did anyone find a fix?

Take it to the service centre and ask them to reset the display cable or change it , if necessary.

wow, I have the same problem after 7 months of heavy gaming and lots of hot temps. glad I found this post, started pushing on the frame and voila screen stopped flickering.  Its the top left on my machine, gets worse when its hot.  But I never would have found this out if not for this site.  At least I bought myself some time until I have to send it in.  Thanks!
