Touchpad on V5-571P slow to respond when A/C adapter plugged in

My original A/C adapter had to be replaced due to an exposed wire. Ever since I've received the new adapter, my touchpad is extremely slow to respond (and even seems to have a mind of its own) when on A/C power. When I unplug it, the touchpad is normal. I've updated the touchpad drivers, but it hasn't helped. The adapter was bought on Amazon (not from Acer itself); I'm not sure if the problem is a bug with an aftermarket adapter.

If it didn't do it with the OEM power supply and does with the aftermarket one, I would suspect it is caused by the aftermarket power supply.
