I just got this computer (it's an 'Acer Aspire T' desktop) three days ago for Christmas. The first two days had it working beautifully. I got turned it on today and it won't acknowledge keyboard or mouse (the lights won't light up) and the first time I booted it up the screen stayed black; everything is operating inside, so I'm thoroughly confused. I did a hard reset and now all I'm seeing is the 'Acer' logo and the message 'Preparing Automatic Repair'. It's been on this screen for like 25 minutes now and nothing else is happening! Please help.

if you don't have personal data to recover, i would try a factory reset.

power it down, then power it on and press Alt+F10 keys to enter recovery and re-install windows.

if this doesn't work, it's time to call your seller or Acer support service.
    I'm not an Acer employee.

How long is the 'Please Wait' supposed to stay there? Cos it's been ten minutes already...

Turns out it was a lemon right out of the box. I had to exchange. Thanks for your help.
