    What is your computer's model?
Always post the following characterisitcs of the device:
    -Model number
    -Part number(not required, but helpful)
    -CPU
    -GPU
    -Operating system

Helios 300 and Nitro 5 users DO NOT update the BIOS to version 1.22 if you don't want the keyboard's backlight to turn off after 30 seconds even when the device is plugged in.

How are you connecting the monitor to the pc, via DispkayPort or HDMI? Are you connecting the cable to the motherboard's or the GPU's ports?

There's four different versions of the predator g5920.  Four different mainboards.  Four different UEFI/BIOS.

Windows 8 version.  This version has a modern UEFI.   As you can see from link below, the Windows 8 version with BIOS date 8/31/12 can boot and run a modern UEFI graphics card.  It probably has a UEFI of P11.xx.

Windows 7 version.  This version has a legacy BIOS or maybe some type of hybrid that has minimal EFI support.   The Windows 7 version can only use P01.xx and not P11.xx.  The Windows 7 version doesn't have a modern UEFI.  EVGA cards like the GTX1060 only support UEFI booting.

UEFI Linux version: I don't really know anything about this computer, but it appears to have a modern UEFI since it uses P11.xxL.

Legacy Linux version: This is the legacy BIOS linux version since it uses P01.xxL.

Bottom line: If your computer came pre-installed with Windows 7 and is BIOS P01.xx, I don't think you'll be able to boot that modern UEFI GTX1060 graphics card.

    I'm not an Acer employee.
