Screen keyboard stopped working and external keyboard will not disable when in flip mode. Tablet only 90 days old, has for a time refused to long on from screen, external keyboard only.  Screen keyboard started being more stubborn to appear.  I understand I cannot download new double drivers for keyboards. Anyone have this issue?  I can use as a laptop but I want the tablet feature to work.

If your Chromebook can be used as a tablet, the on-screen keyboard will automatically open when you flip the screen of your Chromebook over its hinge.

Also, you can open the keyboard in Settings( click your account photo) and at the bottom, tap or click Advanced. Under "Accessibility," tap or click Manage accessibility features. Then, Under "Keyboard," tap or click Enable on-screen keyboard.

Thank you Sharanji, We have found the way to re-enable the on-screen keyboard as you suggest, not sure why it went away but we still can't get the external keyboard to stop working in the flipped mode. It was fine before now all of a sudden it types in tablet mode.  Most annoying!
