I'm typically not the kind of guy posting questions on forums to get help but instead search for solutions first. I have been looking for a solution to this problem for over a month now and every method i have tried just fails me.

I need help with charging problems, I have a 2 day old clean windows 10 installed with a 2 month old battery and a day old charger for this laptop with my BIOS as 1.21 current version. more over i'm able to use my 19V adapters (both old and new one) to power up my laptop with no problem (except for the battery, obviously).

Following is what I have tried so far (and failed everytime) and looking for a unique solution which I may have missed here:

1. Re-installed my windows 10 pro with a clean install option with a formatted C Drive
2. Update the BIOS with MS-DOS utilities firstly to 1.13 and then to 1.21
3. Battery calibration methods on the internet
3.1 Removed the battery drivers (both AC adapters and ACPI ones) and let windows install as well as shutdown + start again options
3.2 Did a static discharge with no power connection or battery connection
4. Played around with power settings of windows 10 to ensure nothing is disabled
5. Opened up my laptop to see for any loose wiring but nothing
6. Installed the batter info app to see what it shows and interestingly the voltage on it is 11.x no matter if its my old or new adapter (which i bought from amazon as OEM replacement)

beyond the obvious, last resort, of taking this dinosaur to a repair shop, I want to know if there is someone out there with X-ray vision who can help me with this really super annoying fast spreading communal disease which everyone seems to have in the entire world.

Thank you in advance for reading through my frustration and still choosing to help me out :)

    MahaVeera12354,

    Try to do power drain,

    1. Shutdown the unit.
    2. Unplug the cables connected to the unit.
    3. At bottom of the unit there will be a small tiny pin hole with a battery symbol close to it. Take a pin or a paper clip insert into it you feels like pressing a button hold it for 20-30 seconds.

The Aspire 5750G is so old it will not have a battery reset pinhole on the bottom. You can try a long press of the power button (30 seconds or longer) with power disconnected. Sometimes that will do the reset. If not you can open it up and disconnect the battery from the motherboard, then press and hold the power button for 15-30 seconds before reconnecting power. In either case wait for the laptop to register a full charge before turning it back on.
