Hi

I got the “black screen death” on my Desktop TC-115 that showed up after Windows 10 upgrade. I got nothing but black screen with the power led blinking, i.e. no bios start-up.

Based on other users comments about “black screen death” I think my bios has been deleted and now I am looking for the right .fd-file for my computer model and the instruction how to get it into the bios.

In the following I write what had happen and what I have tried:

- Just after the W10 upgrade the computer was functional, but showed minor irregularities:

W10 told me that the upgrade didn’t succeeded correctly and after restart the computer started-up in the bios showing the page of RECOVERY. I refused to recover because I otherwise would loose my data, instead I exited the bios and after which W10 opened and worked fine.

But the next day when I turned the computer on I got the black screen problem.

Acer support page have for TC-115 reported a similar black screen problem after W10 upgrade, in which the solution is resetting the bios. However in my problem I got no Bios start-up so it will not work for my situation.

-I have tried to reset the bios by changed jumper settings on the motherboard and by removing battery - but no success.

Help will be very much appreciated

had you try to disconnect the HDD-DVD and then boot to BIOS pressing Del key?
    I'm not an Acer employee.

Yes I have disconnected HDD, (but not the DVD), but it changes nothing - I still got the black screen.

I cannot enter bios because the bios do not start-up, i.e. the screen never gives me the option to hit Del key. There is a signal to the screen from the computer but that signal is completely "black screen"
