Recently bought the above laptop but cannot complete upgrade to the latest windows due to lack of space. Adding SD card to slot did not help. Can I put a bigger hard drive in this model without needing to solder stuff, etc? I had only 28g to start with.

the SD card is NTFS formatted?
you can try to update using a windows installation media on USB and updating from it:

    1) download a windows 10 iso using Microsof tool:
select the proper windows 10 version (the same installed on your laptop) and choose to save it as iso file when prompted
    2) download Rufus:
plug your USB flash drive, run Rufus then:
select ISO image from the dropdown menu near "Create a bootable disk"
click on the little icon on the right and browse to the windows 10 downloaded iso file
as  Partitions scheme select "GPT partition scheme for UEFI"
    as File system select "FAT32"
    click on Start
    wait until it finish
    close Rufus
and then browse the create USB installation media and run setup.exe

    I'm not an Acer employee.

Hi IronFly. Yes. I did NTFS format the SD card when I first installed it. Will this allow me to put windows 10 onto it using your method?
