Hi all and thanks in advance.

I bought the the Aspire F15 Laptop about 4-5 months ago.  It was working fine until this morning. When running on battery power the laptop will shutdown at random times without any prior warning regardless of the battery percentage. The laptop doesn't have any hot spots so overheating can be ruled out.  This also happens from the bios screen so I don’t believe it to be a software issue.

This doesn’t happen while using the power lead.

Any my help would be appreciated as it’s becoming very frustrating - especially whilst on a 3 hour train journey where the sockets aren’t working 🤦🏼‍♂️🤦🏼‍♂️😩

You can follow the instructions here to perform a battery reset. If it doesn't fix the issue, you can open the laptop and refit the battery connector. If this doesn't help either, or you don't want to disasseble the device I suggest you to contact Acer in your region.
Always post the following characterisitcs of the device:
    -Model number
    -Part number(not required, but helpful)
    -CPU
    -GPU
    -Operating system

Helios 300 and Nitro 5 users DO NOT update the BIOS to version 1.22 if you don't want the keyboard's backlight to turn off after 30 seconds even when the device is plugged in.
