I have a Aspire V5 laptop. Cannot get into BIOS. Have changed the SSD and added a new blank disk.
Cannot enter BIOS so not even at the stage of getting the OS on it. I have a bootable USB device with Win10ready to go.
Start laptop, Acer plash screen then : Opeating System not found.
I think the BIOS may be corrupted (?) Would appreciate any instruction on how to correct the error to get working BIOS back then try and boot from USB device.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Press and hold the power button for about 5 seconds till the machine completely shuts off. Then start tapping the F2 key. While still tapping the F2 key, press the power button once to turn the machine back on. Keep tapping away at the F2 key till the BIOS menu appears. Go to the boot menu to change the boot order. Hi, thanks but I tried that first. Nothing I do seems to be able to get into bios. Suspect it is corrupted somehow, but not sure what utilities I have to recover it. Any suggestions?

What happened to the original drive? If it's OK, replace the SSD with it and see if you can then enter the BIOS. If the drive crashed, disconnect the SSD and see if you can then access the BIOS menu. Jack E/NJ
