Hi, is it possible to install on a VA70/VG70 REV 2.1 motherboard (recovered from an Aspire V3-771G) an Intel i7 4702MQ CPU and a bank of 8 GB DDR3L RAM? Tks

What is the CPU that is currently on the motherboard.

You can add up to 16GB(2x8GB) DDR3/DDR3L RAM.

Always post the following characterisitcs of the device:
    -Model number
    -Part number(not required, but helpful)
    -CPU
    -GPU
    -Operating system

Helios 300 and Nitro 5 users DO NOT update the BIOS to version 1.22 if you don't want the keyboard's backlight to turn off after 30 seconds even when the device is plugged in.

  • Hi,
No, you can not use i7-4702QM which is a Socket G3 CPU, your MB has Socket G2.

Thanks to all. I ask you another info.
Removing the RAM from the motherboard, it dont emit any beep. Is this the confirm that the motherboard is faulty?
