Acer Nitro 5 AN515-51-U0 Missing sata cable for secondary drive

Multiple people have put in cases for this, but it's hard to get a response just by posting in one of those.

I have a Nitro 5 AN515-51-U0 that has a space for a secondary drive to go in. People with the same exact model have had missing cables for the drive space so that they cannot install drives. I have this problem and it's frustrating to have a usb connected to it all the time to have extended storage. There is no sata cable in the laptop to connect a secondary 2.5" drive to.

Where would I get this cable and how would I install it? Quick responses would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,
Part number for cable: 50.Q28N2.004
HDD bracket Part number:33.Q28N2.001
Also you need 4 screws for HDD bracket: 86.GCHN2.009
To attach the HDD 4screws: 86.MXRN2.008
I can give you some examples but you have to shop online for these parts and if you need to confirm about the warranty with the local Acer support centre.

I am looking for HDD connector and cable. These parts are for Acer Predator Helios 300. Are they compatible with Acer Nitro AN515 model parts?

They are compatible, some parts are interchangeable between different models.

<SOAPBOX> Whomever designed this without (1) The SATA cable included and already attached to the MB, so you don't have to crack the case or (2) include a connector in the top/side of the bay to connect a cable to, should be fired and sent back to Design 101 IMHO.
Same goes for accessing the battery. The laptop industry standard is to plug and go or remove a couple of screws and go at least. I should not have to disassemble my laptop case to expand my machine--it is a laptop, NOT a desktop </SOAPBOX>

I agree 100%. I have seen in another thread that it was supposed to be included in the box, but for many people it wasnt (bracket/screws/cable). I just discovered this, but mine is out of warranty and it seems they now wont give me the time of day. I guess these are some of the ways they cut corners so that they can sell the machines cheaper.

Acer does not provide the data cable, mounting brackets or screws and never has, there are way to many variants.
