My Acer Aspire One D255 will not boot. I get the black screen and white letters with an error message.
Check cable connection
PXE-M0F: Exiting Intel PXE ROM
No bootable device -- insert boot disk and press any key
There is also no "HDD Model Name" or "HDD Serial Number"
How can I fix thissss....

Press & hold the power button for 5 seconds till the machine completely shuts off. Then turn the machine back on and immediately start tapping the F2 key to access the BIOS menu. Does the BIOS Information tab show that the hard drive is recognized? If yes, then go to the MAIN tab and enable D2D recovery option if it's disabled. Then press F10 to save settings and exit. If the machine now boots into Windows, then a small coin battery needs to be replaced on the mainboard. If it doesn't boot into Windows, then shut the machine completely off again. Turn it back on and immediately press and hold the ALT key while tapping the F10 key. A recovery screen should appear. Follow direction to re-set the machine to a factory-fresh state. Jack E/NJ
