Hi,

I have the above laptop, Part Number: NX.G6TEX.038. I am wondering if I can connect an external monitor at 4k and 60Hz?
Can anyone help with this? Live chat was useless...

Your HDMI version is 1.4a, so via HDMI it supports up to 4k 30Hz. You can use USB type c to display port adaptor and this way it should be able to output 4k at 60Hz.
Always post the following characterisitcs of the device:
    -Model number
    -Part number(not required, but helpful)
    -CPU
    -GPU
    -Operating system

Helios 300 and Nitro 5 users DO NOT update the BIOS to version 1.22 if you don't want the keyboard's backlight to turn off after 30 seconds even when the device is plugged in.

OK, just wanted to provide an update...I bought the following monitor: Philips BDM4350UC Brilliance and an adapter from USB-C to display port...namely this one: Akasa adapter USB-C to DisplayPort 4K (AK-CBCA05-15BK) and the monitor works at 4k@60Hz. Laptop shows a FHD screen, while the monitor is extended to 4k.

I have to say it's great having 4 FHD windows open on one monitor at the same time.
