I have this laptop Acer Aspire E5-411-P68R and I'm receiving an update. Do I need to download the update or just ignore it? My laptop is kind a slow, if I download this update is there any improvement on how my laptop response to the application? But I have plans to upgrade the RAM to 8GB. Thank you

Updates are important to keep your system secure and fix bugs. It won't improve the speed of your PC, but it won't make it slower too.
Always post the following characterisitcs of the device:
    -Model number
    -Part number(not required, but helpful)
    -CPU
    -GPU
    -Operating system

Helios 300 and Nitro 5 users DO NOT update the BIOS to version 1.22 if you don't want the keyboard's backlight to turn off after 30 seconds even when the device is plugged in.

If it is a major upgrade(for example from windows anniversary to windows creators or fall creators) it can have an impact on the performance, but if it is just an update of the same build then it is important to be updated, as the security is updated too. It won't make your PC slower or faster and some bugs can be fixed too.
