Hi,

I recently purchased a Nitro 5 AN515-51-55WL and I'm trying to avail of the free recovery disk. When I put my SNID into the needed field and press submit, I get an error message shortly after saying the process is taking too long. When I tried putting the necessary information into the SNID box, it's telling me that the eRecovery media is no longer available for the serial number I entered. This is a brand new laptop and my first Acer laptop. I have never requested for any recovery media prior to this one.

probably is a system error, notice that erecovery media is not available for free.
by the way, you can create your own with a 16GB USB flash drive and on Acer care center, select the option to create recovery media or using windows integrated software:
    windows logo key
    type
    recovery
    click on Create recovery media
be sure that "backup system files...." is ticked and follow the instructions

    or watch this video:

    I'm not an Acer employee.
