Hello,

I have a V7N 792G 704F (V17 Nitro Black Edition 16Gb RAM 256Gb SSD) and I would like to install a second SATA HD. So I called Acer (in Italy, where I live and bought the laptop) to make sure I could do that, they said I could, but they didn't seamed so certain. Anyway, I bought the HD and started to make some research, but I'm still not sure it's possible. So, before I open it I thought it would try to ask here to know if someone can say with a little more certainty if this is really possible. So, just to be really clear, I want to install a second HD, not substitute the old one, so, it's possible?

Thanks in advance!

The SSD you have in the laptop is an M.2 SSD, which is connected to a different place on the motherboard. If you the SSD is the only storage device you have, then you can install a SATA 3 drive.
Always post the following characterisitcs of the device:
    -Model number
    -Part number(not required, but helpful)
    -CPU
    -GPU
    -Operating system

Helios 300 and Nitro 5 users DO NOT update the BIOS to version 1.22 if you don't want the keyboard's backlight to turn off after 30 seconds even when the device is plugged in.
