After the Windows 10 Fall Creators Update, computer beeps at startup but boots normally.
I have been all over the web trying to fix this problem.
After the upgrade to the Windows 10 Fall Creators Update, my computer beeps when I press the power button to start it up. I have been over at www.tenforums.com. We have tested the RAM. The RAM had no issues. I have updated the BIOS to the latest version which didn't fix the problem. With the Fall update, they have added extra screens that say "Shutting Down" and "Please Wait" upon powering up and down the computer. I believe this has to do with the latest update, because the computer is used to the spinning circles and for the screen to go black and for all of the apps to close at shutdown. Now, they re-open with the new update. Acer has not updated this computer with any updated drivers which really upsets me. They only supported Windows 10 for this computer was the first Windows 10 version. My other computer which is an HP is still being supported for future Windows 10 upgrades and so is my Toshiba laptop. The computer has an American Megatrends UEFI BIOS. According to the BIOS beep codes, the only close thing would be DRAM Refresh Failure. But as I have said before, the RAM has tested out as good. I have taken the CMOS battery out and put it back in to try to see if the beep will go away, but it didn't. Other than this beep, the computer runs perfect.
Computer is an Acer Aspire XC-603G Desktop.
