helios 300 missing caddy and 2nd hdd wire

im fairly sure it was supposed to have come with one. sadly when i opened the bay to install the hdd the caddy and wire were both missing.

I purchased the laptop as well and of course I ran into the same problem. It's a little bit disappointing to see that happening. Sitting in South Africa and still waiting for reply from Acer Support, but honestly WHY, or WHAT is the reason for Acer delivering the laptop without the cable and caddy?

I mean if it is on purpose, then it should be mentioned already at the purchase, like if you want to install a second harddrive in the foreseen hard drive bay make sure to order the necessary accessoire with it.

If something went wrong during production and it was actually a production error, then there should be a newsletter out which mentiones the effected S/N, models and a set of accessoires have to be sent to all affected devices that they can be delivered to the customer together!

There are S/Ns so the product is traceable, use it!

I worked long enough in aviation and automotive quality management to know how such things are handled in the field.
To the guys in quality management at Acer, show a little bit more assertiveness against the other dpt. (specially finance), you are representing the customer and the voice of the customer, a happy customer is priceless
